Damaged people are dangerous. They know they can survive.
–Josephine Hart, Damage
For those of you who may just be "tuning" in, it's probably already apparent, that really I have no idea what I'm doing. I'm okay with that too! I have a HUGE desire to help those that are hurting themselves through whatever method they choose. I also want those that have no idea how big this issue is, to "wake up" and get a clue to reach out and help those struggling and such. You can't fix a problem unless you know about it!
I really like the quote above, I just happened to find it today when researching for something to write about. Everyone is here for a reason, and regardless of the circumstances in life, you've made it to this point. It's your choice as to how you handle it and what you do with it, you can make the best of it or you can let an addiction consume you. I hope that everyone will take their past, present and future hurts and turn them into something productive or at least learn from them. If you've been damaged then you know you can survive, because if you're reading this it means you're a survivor! Those who have been hurt and who have gone through hard times turn out to be stronger so that they can handle other things that come in life and become better people because of it. And remember too, about those who have hurt you: the sweetest revenge is being successful in life!
I'm in need of more ideas to post/write about, resources to share, events, stories of our experience, and things of that nature. I think the next one might be on distractions and coping, let me know your thoughts!
